It's A Family Affair

The mission of Heartland Senior Expos is to connect the 55+ demographic with local organizations through face-to-face events, expos and publications.

Our expos are heavily advertised and feature free admission and public transportation (where available) for attendees.

At a Heartland Senior Expo you can expect to see a variety of vendors, prizes every hour, giveaways, useful information from experts and free health screenings.

Courtney Lotzer

Founder

With over 30 years of caregiving, event planning and marketing experience, Courtney Lotzer is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for the oldest living generation. She specializes in organizing expos for seniors across the Midwest to ensure that each event is tailored to meet their unique needs.

Courtney's love for travel, listening, creating and writing has fueled her professional journey, allowing her to gather inspiration from diverse cultures and communities. She cherishes the opportunity to collaborate with her sons and father in this fulfilling work, making it a true family affair. Through her dedication and expertise, Courtney aims to enrich the lives of seniors and foster connections within the community. Courtney currently resides in Monticello, MN.

Ethan Lotzer

Creative Director

Ethan brings a vibrant vision to life through stunning signage and marketing materials that effectively capture the essence of our events. With a keen eye for design and a passion for aesthetics, Ethan plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

Residing in beautiful Colorado, Ethan finds inspiration in the great outdoors. He loves exploring nature and is dedicated to making the landscape as beautiful as possible, whether through his creative work or his personal pursuits. His enthusiasm for the environment and design seamlessly blends, allowing him to create visually striking materials that resonate with our audience.

Wyatt Lotzer

Jack of All Trades

As the youngest member of the Heartland Senior Expo team, Wyatt Lotzer brings enthusiasm and fresh perspectives to our events. In the spring of 2025, you’ll find him actively engaging with attendees, ensuring they receive the best information and have an enjoyable experience at our expos.

Wyatt has a passion for the great outdoors and a love of playing baseball. He is currently exploring various career aspirations, eager to find a path that aligns with his interests and talents. With his vibrant energy and commitment to making a positive impact, Wyatt is excited to contribute to the success of Heartland Senior Expos. He will graduate high school from Buffalo, MN in June 2025. We're so excited for you Wyatt!

Dale Van Dyke

Community Engagement Ambassador

Dale is a retired veteran and proud father of Courtney Lotzer, the founder of Heartland Senior Expos. Residing in Sioux Falls South Dakota, Dale is known for his community spirit, often seen picking up litter to help keep his city beautiful. In his free time, he enjoys solving puzzles and cherishing moments with his sisters, daily phone calls with his brother Elvis, children, and grandchildren. Dale has 9 brothers and sisters, four children and many, many grandchildren.

As a Community Engagement Ambassador for Heartland Senior Expos, Dale loves connecting with attendees, listening to their stories, and learning about their communities.
